As a cinematographer, I am interested in the human psyche, where internal conflict often takes center stage. With my camera, I want to explore and capture these intimate, elusive, and sometimes incomprehensible emotions. Only when I have managed to touch an audience is my goal achieved.

I compose, emphasize emotion, take the viewer on a journey, or give the conflict the necessary undertone. My visual language draws inspiration from play and uses the breaking and bending of rules to tell the story more powerfully. An eternal balance between content and aesthetics.

It is my mission to give every film its own fitting and profound visual voice, so that the story can fully unfold. Where one film calls for tenderness and the emphasis lies on the smallest nuances, such as Déjà Vu (2025), another film calls for a raw, naturalistic narrative, such as Waar is mijn Libido (2024).
